This Baluch star bagface of the octagon field variety is classic Baluch in both format and execution. Abstracted vegetal forms radiate from the large central star against a brick-red ground. Further eight-pointed stars in octagons are drawn against a polychromatic blue ground with white stars on each side lining up with the center to form a large cruciform pattern. This bagface uses the popular so-called “fishbone border”. Kilim with floating weft work is preserved on both top and bottom. This is an iconic Baluch group weaving from Khorossan.
